About the area of Almunecar
Eagle Peak lies just outside Almunecar in the heart of the Costa Tropical in Spain’s Andalucia. This position makes it perfect for a naturist resort in Southern Spain. sheltered from the worst influences of the European winters by the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Africa to the south helps buffer the harsh effects of both Mediterranean and Atlantic weather, giving warm southerly breezes. There is none of the stifling humidity common to the tropics. The result is a pleasant climate with low humidity, little rain and over 320 days of sunshine a year.
In wintertime temperatures average a remarkable 18 degrees centigrade. During summer, this average rises to about 25 degrees with midday temperatures often well into the 30’s. In July and August, it is often in the 40’s.
When looking for a naturist resort in Southern Spain, convenience is key. We are easy to find as we are only minutes off the motorway and only 100 metres off the main N340.We are 75 km east of Malaga and about 72 km south of Granada. For your Satnav, we are at Grid Reference 36.44.04 North 3.42.35 West. Parking is easy at Eagle Peak, with no restrictions.
Of course, we are not the only naturist resort in Southern Spain but we are certainly one of the best positioned. The naturist beach Playa del Muerto is only 2 minutes drive from Eagle Peak. Another, but more commercial naturist beach at Cantarrijan is about 8 km drive to the west, here you can drive down onto the beach, enjoy the sunshine, swim and have a super meal at one of the beaches first-class restaurants.
Four other naturist beaches El Ruso, La Joya, Maro and Almanate are less than 30 minutes away. The restaurant at Almanate beach only admits nude customers.
